Are you looking for a magical vacation in the winter time? Jackson Hole, Wyoming is by far the best spot for all of your winter wonderland activities!
I originally found Jackson Hole, Wyoming on Pinterest and absolutely fell in love with the idea of going in the winter time! When I looked more into it and all the activities they offered in the area it quickly became a dream vacation of mine to go. And so it happened! It took little less than a year of planning to come up with the BEST itinerary to make the most of the trip.
Here are a few things I did and some suggestions I highly recommend adding to your list of things to do!!
First and foremost (if you decide to fly into the Jackson Hole Airport) you will be an aww as soon as you come in on the plane. The airport is located in the Grand Teton National Park surrounding mountains and beautiful views right off the bat.

1: Jackson Hole Iditarod Dog Sled Tour
Dog sled tour through the Bridger – Teton National Forest. The shuttle service through the dog sled excursion picked us up at our hotel to take us to our destination. Once we arrived we were paired up with a guide and they began rounding up their dogs and hooking them up to the sled. I got in the sled and away we were! We traveled up to the hot springs with an elevation of 6987 ft. When we made we were able to take a dip in the Granite Hot Springs Swimming Pool. The average water temp in the winter time is 112 degrees. The guides were busy making us lunch over the fire making chili and brie with crackers. After lunch we headed back down the mountain with a 20 mile scenic ride all together. One of the best parts about the tour was getting to pet and interact with the dogs. This was by far my favorite excursions. 110% recommend!!

2: The Continental Divide Snowmobile Tour
50 mile snowmobile tour ride in the Bridger – Teton National Forest through the Continental Divide. Again, the shuttle came to pick us up at our hotel and brought us to our destination where they supplied all of our snowmobile gear. We were able to pick out our snowmobile and away we went. There were several other snowmobiles with us along with our tour guide. We stopped halfway through to eat at the Grizzly Grill where they provided us lunch. It was a foggy day making it hard to see much wildlife but it was still a magical adventure!

3: Elk Refuge
Sleigh ride through the elk refuge. Reservations are available but not required!! Our tour guide was very knowledgable with any questions asked making it a fun, educational experience. Surprisingly we got up a lot closer to the elk than I thought! We were even able to see two bulls sparring. A lot of great photo opportunities! Once the ride was over we were able to interact with the horses!

4) Million Dollar Bar
Great, unique atmosphere! Stop in to enjoy drinks, play pool, and listen to music while sitting in the famous saddle seats up at the bar in the town square!

5) Silver Dollar Bar
Enjoy west coast and swing dancing with a live bluegrass band in the town square. Good drinks! I highly recommend getting in there early to find a table!

6) Restaurants
Pinky Gs Pizzeria – BEST pizza in the Jackson Hole area located just west of the town square. Many different pizzas to choose from and other menu items. They offer dine in, take out, or delivery!

The Gun Barrel Steak and Game House – Locally owned and operated! You won’t find another restaurant like this anywhere else! The atmosphere is like eating in a museum with mount game trophies, portraits, and other historical artifacts. By far the best meal I had! I got the river rock salmon

Sidewinders
This was my first meal once we arrived in Jackson Hole! Right across from the hotel. If we had to pick another place to go back to this would be the spot! I ordered the cowboy Mac and cheese with pulled pork on top!

These are just a few of the things I did while my time in Jackson Hole! There are plenty of other things to check out like:
– Snow shoeing
– Skiing/ Snowboarding
– Shopping
– and snow much more ❄️
It’s with no doubt you will find the friendliest people and staff in this area! Everyone is very knowledgable and always happy to help make your stay the best vacation ever!!
